Chichicastenango Market Tour
The town of San Juan Comalapa is famous in Guatemala for its painters, musicians, and their artwork, especially the primitive folk paintings. As with most areas in Guatemala the woman are responsible for weaving the textile products, but the folk paintings are considered men's work. Household galleries are spread throughout the town and local artists will open their doors and display their colorful artwork for the visitors to see. On your tour, you will visit an art gallery and a music museum.

Rappel B'ombi'l Peq
The name B'ombi'l Peq (Bombil Pek) Caves, means “Piedra Pintada” in Spanish, which translates to Painted Stone in English. The cave system, located in Chisec, Guatemala within the Department of Alta Verapaz, is considered sacred to the surrounding community, El Porvenir.
The ancient painted stones, likely to be of Mayan origin, can be witnessed only by way of an 80-meter (264 feet) abseiling, or spider rappel down.

Yaxhá is located over a hill surrounded by the Sacnab and Yaxhá lagoons. It is inside a zone of two square kilometers, where more than 1700 structures have been identified (Hermes, et al., 1999). The site was inhabited by the Maya civilization since the Pre-classic period (1500 B.C. – 250 A.C.) through the Classic period (250-950 A.C.). After lunch, you will take a boat to Topoxte, which was named by Teobert Maler in 1904, this name means “seed of the Ramón tree”. The Ramón tree, commonly known as breadnut, was an important component of the ancient Maya diet.

The northernmost landlocked Petén Department’s capital city of Flores, was originally the Mayan city of Nojpetén. The Itza people that left the Yucatán region during the 13th century came to what is now Flores and built the city, which was also known as Tayasal, which became their capital city. They titled it Noh (Nohoch) Petén, which translates to "City Island". And was also called Tah Itzá, or 'Place of the Itzá'.
