The Amerigo Travel symbol is a reflection of ancient wisdom reimagined through a modern lens—an homage to the Maya understanding of the universe and our connection to it. At its center is a four-pointed star, inspired by the Maya glyph known as Ek’, representing not only a celestial body, but the rhythms of time, light, and life itself. This star can be seen as the sun, the guiding force of each day, or as Lamat, a symbol of abundance, fertility, and new beginnings—reminding us that growth and renewal are always within reach.

Surrounding the star are four circles, each representing a cardinal direction and the deeper meaning it holds within Maya cosmology. These directions are not simply geographic—they are energetic forces that shape existence. The red circle of the East speaks to the rising sun and the promise of renewal. The black circle of the West reflects transformation and the quiet power of rest. The white circle of the North honors ancestral wisdom and spiritual guidance, while the yellow circle of the South embodies abundance, life, and the physical world we experience.
